Description

The South Carroll Lioness Lions Club was chartered as a Lions club on October 5, 2011. The club, formerly known as the Freedom District Lioness Club, was originally organized in 1985 as an extension of the Freedom District Lions Club. Since that time, more than $330,000 has been given back to our community through our various service programs. We assist individuals who cannot afford needed eye care or hearing aids and we collect and recycle used eye glasses and hearing aids. We support the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association, Carroll Hospice, Carroll Hospital Center, ESCAPE Ministries, Just Say No Programs, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Lions Camp Merrick, Lions Clubs International Foundation, Lions Saving Kids Sight Foundation, Lions Vision Research Foundation, Lions Youth Foundation, local food pantries, the March of Dimes, the Medical Eye Bank of Maryland, New Life for Girls Ministries, Project Linus, Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department, The Shepherd’s Staff, Transitions Healthcare Oakland Manor Assisted Living, USO and the Wounded Warrior Project.
