Do you have digital or social media marketing experience? Enjoy helping businesses reach more customers and grow their online community and sales? Then SCORE could be for you.

SCORE provides mentoring to small and startup businesses. You can in person, via Zoom and phone.

This opportunity provides flexibility, as you schedule your meetings with the client at a mutually agreeable time. Our mentors typically have 10+ years of business experience as business owners, professionals or business educators. Volunteers attend a monthly meeting and spend approximately10 hrs per month meeting with clients and supporting committee needs. Online and mentor training is provided.

We cover 8 counties with office locations in Appleton and Oshkosh. Location in our service area required.

SCORE, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentoring. Our mission is to foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education.

Description

SCORE is dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow and succeed nationwide through volunteer mentors offering free and confidential small business advice. SCORE is a nonprofit resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and has been mentoring small business owners for 60 years. A network of over 240 SCORE offices across the country with more than 10,000 volunteers offer free, confidential business mentoring and low- or no-cost workshops.

For over half a decade, SCORE's thousands of working and retired business professionals, representing 62 industries, have volunteered their knowledge, expertise and experience to support the success of small business nationwide. More than 4.65 million hours of expertise and advice were donated by SCORE volunteers in 2023! SCORE provides:

  • Free, confidential business mentoring in person, via email or by video
  • Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across industries
  • Free business tools, templates and tips online
  • Inexpensive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7)
SCORE Northeast Wisconsin is located in the Fox Valley and Green Bay area of Wisconsin and represents counties in Wisconsin and Michigan: Brown, Calumet, Door, Florence, Fond du Lac, Forest, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Marquette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago in WI and Menominee County, MI.
