LearningQuest offers multiple programs guiding adult learners in reaching their academic goals. With new technology, we have integrated ways to offer tutoring for our programs with our Virtual sessions. We need volunteers who are interested in being a part of our Literacy program and helping adults improve their reading and writing skills - virtually.
Time frame: 2 hours a week virtually tutoring one-on-one with an assigned student.

About LearningQuest - Stanislaus Literacy Centers
Location:
1032 11th St, Modesto, CA 95354, US
Mission Statement
Empowering adults through educational services and improving self-reliance for the family.
Description
Stanislaus County adults need remedial education leading to a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalency in order to get a job or get a better job with a living wage. There is a lack of resources in our county. We are one of only four entities offering classes to prepare for the high school equivalency test and one of only two offering instruction in Spanish.
We seek to engage the talents, skills, and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. LearningQuest offers a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events, and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
