MISSION
At Girls on the Run Los Angeles (GOTRLA), we envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We inspire girls in 3rd-8th grade to be joyful, healthy, and confident through a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
Activity Description
YOU can join our team of Coaches/Mentors in a transformational program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. During these challenging times, they need you now more than ever!
Coaching
Join one of our IN-PERSON teams in LA County this Fall, from late September to early December. It takes just two afternoons per week (weekday afternoons/after school hours) to help build a lifetime of healthy habits.
Encourage and empower our participants to believe there are no limits to what a girl with confidence can achieve. Have fun while serving as a role model for program participants!
VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
We have Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Substitute roles available. Your responsibilities include:
Getting to know and understand your co-coaches to better serve your team.
Reviewing, preparing, and supervising weekly lessons (curriculum provided by Girls on the Run).
Collaborating with other coaches for successful lesson delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
You must be at least 18 years of age.
Complete a GOTRLA Coach application and background check.
