Like a good party? Enjoy making an event run smoothly? Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation is looking for Event Volunteers in the Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch area for "Party Under the Stars", which be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, at The Ora in Sarasota. This is an annual, signature fundraising event with proceeds providing non-medical financial support to cancer patients.
Event Date: Saturday, March 1, 2025
Event Time: 5:00-10:00pm
Event Location: The Ora, 578 McIntosh Road, Sarsasota
VOLUNTEER ARRIVAL & TRAINING:
- Arrival time 4:30pm
- Parking - You can park in the farthest row from the entrance in the parking lot of Sarasota High School
- Event training will be from 4:45-5:10pm
- Volunteers in place by 5:15pm
VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Upon arrival, volunteers will be assigned responsibilities for the evening. It is important to be flexible, as your roles may change throughout the evening!
Ex: Greeting and directing guests; registration; selling raffle tickets; overseeing the silent auction area; VIP table drawing; live auction spotters; silent auction closing; distributing guest thank you gifts; and event breakdown!
VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS:
- Attire will be black pants and shirt with close-toed shoes.
- NO alcohol during the event.
- Dinner will be provided during the event, and volunteers will be able to take breaks throughout the evening as needed in a designated room.

Mission Statement
The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation provides financial support to qualified adult cancer patients in the state of Florida for expenses such as rent or mortgage, car payments and utility bills. By giving patients peace of mind in knowing that their bills are being paid while they are undergoing treatment, the FCS Foundation allows them to concentrate on what really matters - fighting cancer.
Description
The FCS Foundation is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization was founded in 2011 and located at 5204 Paylor Lane in Sarasota, Florida. The FCS Foundation assists cancer patients across the state of Florida. Due to the generosity of the Florida Cancer Specialists partner physicians in covering all overhead expenses for the Foundation, 100% of donations received go directly towards paying the essential non-medical living expenses of an adult battling cancer.
