ORGANIZATION: Vine Maple Place

Teach homeless and low-income single parents financial empowerment skills. Classes are structured, including a teacher's guide. Financial empowerment includes basic money management, budgeting and credit one on one.

In particular, we are looking for help teaching the following position:

  • Attend personal budgeting classes which include helping clients enter receipts into an excel spreadsheet and creating a budget.
  • Ability to discuss basic principles of budgeting. (Curriculum provided)
Training is provided- including shadowing all financial classes and two 1-hour Trauma Informed Care Training sessions. It can take 1-2 months of training/shadowing classes before starting to teach your own classes.

Volunteers must be 18+.
Volunteer screening and background check will be required.

Vine Maple Place utilizes a unique and innovative approach to meet the needs of our families. As a team, parents, volunteers and staff work collaboratively to implement a custom action plan that emphasizes each family members' strengths, assets and challenges.
