Extra, Extra-READ ALL ABOUT IT! Calling ALL Journalists, editors, copywriters, bloggers...Sanctuary Hospice needs your assistance with our Hospice Volunteer Newsletter. This monthly publication is used to educate our staff, volunteers and community; share resources and events; recognize, motivate, engage and encourage our volunteers. Our newsletter is distributed to volunteers, staff and community partners electronically and designed to be the VOICE of our volunteers. Join our Sanctuary Hospice Volunteer team to have your voice heard and ideas shared.

Mission Statement
Patients and Families Come First The mission of Sanctuary Hospice is to understand and help guide our patients’ quest for a rewarding quality of life in their final days and to help their circle of family and friends support them in life and grieve for them in death. Sanctuary pledges to provide expert hospice care for the comfort and dignity of the terminally ill by addressing their individual physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Sanctuary Hospice serves as a resource to the community for end-of-life care and related issues and seeks to provide care for all appropriate patients and families who need hospice services regardless of ability to pay.
Description
Hospice Volunteers come from all walks of life, yet they all share a common desire-to enrich their own lives and the lives of others by giving generously of their time, energy and talents. Volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team. Once trained they may work in several areas: Administrative, Direct Patient Care Visitation for companionship and support, Bereavement support, Pet therapy, Music Therapy and many other Special Alternative Complementary services.
