Our Board of Directors are vital to the success of our organization and to the fulfillment of our mission. NMCTR offers the most comprehensive and effective therapeutic riding program in Northern New Mexico, serving children, youth, and adults with special needs through equine-assisted activities and therapies. If you are interested in contributing your time and talents to our program, please join us!
Becoming a Member of our Board of Directors is an 100% volunteer opportunity with no financial commitment and meets monthly for a formal Board meeting. (Meetings are held via Zoom during COVID-19 pandemic)

Mission Statement
The mission of New Mexico Center for Therapeutic Riding is to enrich and expand the lives of children, youth, and adults with special needs through equine-assisted activities and therapies.
Description
The New Mexico Center for Therapeutic Riding provides instruction in riding and horsemanship with the goal of expanding the cognitive, physical, emotional and social skills and well-being of individuals with special needs. Students of all ages and abilities participate in our program with the ultimate goal of learning to ride as independently as possible, gaining enhanced self-confidence from their accomplishments. Our instructors, who are certified by PATH Intl., develop a lesson plan that is specific to each individual’s needs and goals. We offer private and group lessons. Our community partnerships allow us to provide services to students of all ages and abilities throughout Santa Fe County. Our partners include The New Mexico School for the Deaf, Santa Fe Public Schools, Santa Fe Youth Shelters, the Santa Fe TEP program, and various day rehabilitation centers.
