Mission Statement

To make a difference in the lives of our patients and families by working hand-in-hand throughout their journey. To lead the way, in delivering clinical excellence, extraordinary service, and compassionate hospice care. Kindred Hospice is part of the Kindred at Home family of hospice, home health, palliative, and community care providers. Our goals are to: * Always treat our patients and families with respect; * Be available 24 hours a day/7 days a week; * Honor patients and families wishes; * Meet spiritual or religious needs; * Meet physical, social, and care needs; and * Make hospice experience honorable and meaningful to patients and families.

Description

The hospice philosophy focuses on quality of life for those living with end-stage illnesses so they maintain as much comfort and dignity as possible. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals and volunteers provides caring support for both the hospice recipient and his or her loved ones. We are always looking for new volunteers to join our team. Give your time, your talents and your heart by becoming one of our volunteers.

Volunteers are an important part of the hospice philosophy. You are there to hold a hand and listen, read or write a letter, run errands or even help out in our office.

Volunteers are there to step in when a family member needs a break, and are there for the family and friends after their loved one has passed away. No matter what your skills, talents or motivation, we have the opportunity for you to help.

We are proud members of We Honor Veterans (WHV), 4 Star Level, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Veterans Administration, which is designed to empower hospice professionals to meet the unique needs of terminally ill veterans. We strive to provide the most comfortable and comforting end-of-life experience possible.
