Indelibly Necessary Knowledge is seeking an educated, experienced, professional, fun, organized, meticulous and detail oriented virtual educator/nanny/sitter to manage a busy family and little VIPs 0-12 years old. Schedule will be on an hourly basis and based on availability of work (includes weekdays and weekends). When scheduled on weekdays, shifts will typically be between 11:00am-7:00pm CST. The Indelibly Necessary Knowledge will ensure nanny/sitter/educator has schedule at least two weeks in advance, when possible. Flexibility is required with scheduling as last-minute orders for services occasionally arise. Virtual nanny/sitter/educator must be collaborative to work with domestic staff (e.g., full-time housekeeper or the person physically at the residence watching the child while you provide your educational experience) and directly with principals on a daily basis, be warm, nurturing, have calm confidence and an easy-going demeanor, be discreet, assertive, proactive, resourceful, have a self-starter mentality, be organized, detail-oriented, hard-working, service-focused, kind, professional, have the ability to multi-task, wear many hats and be capable of maintaining discretion. Candidates must be at least of high school age. Start date is flexible for the right candidate.

*Position is an on-call duty where you will be paired with students as opportunities become available. Assignments are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate positive play-based learning and create educational activities with the help of lesson plans provided by Intellectual Practice Learning (e.g., planned engaging activities at home, developmentally appropriate games and activities, engaging projects and crafts, scheduled virtual trips, etc.)
  • Be knowledgeable about child development (e.g., firm when necessary and capable of teaching children manners and etiquette, but also capable of being laid back and fun)
  • Support teaching and reinforcement of manners and other social skills
  • Facilitate developmentally appropriate games and activities, engaging projects and crafts from home and schedule/plan fun outings and events
  • Assist children with homework, school projects, studying for tests, etc. and keep parents informed of progress and needs
  • Schedule meeting with principal(s) as needed to discuss their schedule, children's schedules, travel plans, upcoming events, special projects, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Capable of building rapport with children (school aged, pre-teens, teenagers, etc.)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, excellent with time management, efficient and service focused
  • Attentive to principals' preferences and style (intuitive to their needs)
  • Ability to maintain discretion (confidentiality agreement is required). Ability to be discreet with respect for employer’s privacy
  • Professional presentation of self and great personality
  • Ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with service providers, contractors and vendors
  • Ability to work collaboratively with vendors and oversee projects
  • Ability to easily take direction
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with principals (extension of parents and consistent childcare philosophies) and domestic employees
  • Strong technology skills and experienced working with Macintosh just in case you need to provide minimal technical support.
  • Positive attitude and ability to handle position with ease and calm demeanor

Requirements:

  • We hire high schoolers, college students and professionals to work with our kids. If you are a student, you will be required to provide a grade report to substantiate your mastery of certain material. Likewise, if you are a professional, you will be asked to show credentials that verify your area of expertise.
  • Experienced working with at least three or four children (similar in ages and/or multiples)
  • Passionate about education, child development, etc.
  • 2 references
  • CPR Certification would be useful should you need to virtually instruct someone in the home about how to save a life

The company has retained its original focus of providing educational opportunities for students and has since expanded its services to include community service options for individuals alongside a host of other community support programs.
