Every Friday and Saturday, join River City Food Bank in providing healthy and nutritious food to our neighbors in the Arden Arcade area. Volunteer shifts begin at 8:30 AM and end at 2:00 PM.

From 8:30 to 10:30 volunteers help prepare bags of produce, sort grocery store donations, reappropriate bulk produce, open bags, bag produce, clean and organize. Prep is ongoing throughout the day and takes place indoors.

Food distribution to the public is from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Volunteers gather at 10 am to go over the process and receive an assignment. Volunteers will be assigned a product to distribute and will provide the item (based on quantity guidelines) to individuals as they come through the line.

Food donations come in throughout the day. Some volunteers will work inside continuing to sort grocery store donations, reapportion bulk food items, bag produce, clean and organize.

Clean up, disassembly, and prep for the following day is from 1:30 - 2:00.
