We are seeking volunteers to make cards to help transform a patient's day!
Words of encouragement and caring thoughts, are always appreciated by our Hospice patients! Remember the last time you received an unexpected card in the mail? There is something very special about knowing that the writer took the time and care to think of you. Provide that special gift to our patients and let them know that they were thought of and remembered (even by a stranger!)for a moment in your day. Homemade cards, store bought cards with a personal note, or a short letter are all welcome - let your creativity loose! This is a great family or group project and can be done by persons of all ages.
To become part of the Care Card Team, contact Laurie Murry, Homeland Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, and further instructions and ideas will be provided.
A "paper hug" can mean so very much as shared by a spouse of one of our patients: "Thank you for all of the inspiring cards you send to my husband! What a wonderful idea!"
Care Cards and your kindness can make a huge difference in a patient's day!
