Note: We are gradually beginning to grant travel wishes again, following the guidelines of our medical advisory board. Volunteers must adhere to all Make-A-Wish and MSP airport COVID-19 policies.
Position Summary:
Be part of the send-off or welcoming for a wish child and their family! Airport Meet and Greeters help families kick off their wish trip on a great and exciting note as well as greet them as they arrive home from a trip. Many families might be traveling for the first time, so navigating the airport can be a daunting and stressful experience. - Request VIP treatment from airline employees during the child’s flight. Examples include meeting the pilot or visiting the cockpit, a special announcement on the plane, or getting bumped up to first class (Departures).
- Greet families as they arrive home and show them to their limo or hotel shuttle (Arrivals)
How You can Help:
- Sign up for 3-hour shifts
- Take part in at least one volunteer activity per year
- Greet families from early morning to late evening on weekdays or weekends
