We work with an amazing group of women in Uganda providing fair wages for their creative works. The women are paid per pice of jewelry that they create and we cover all of the costs of materials. The profits from the sales go towards feeding and providing medical care for kids still living on the streets.
We are looking for volunteers that would organize jewelry parties, sell the jewelry at their local craft/farmer's markets, or approach stores to sell the jewelry wholesale.
Responsibilities would include:
- talking with customers about the mission and work of LOT2545 (we will brief you before you begin with FAQ)
- organizing at least one jewelry party/event per month
- recording sales and reconciling money at the end of each event
- tracking and recording inventory and reporting when supplies are getting low
- turning in money from sales and inventory sales sheet after each event
- approaching stores in your community or online to create wholesale partnerships
- researching craft/farmers markets in your area and booking booths, especially during holiday season
You can see the women's work at our Etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/lot2545
