Grace Hospice is looking for Veterans to spend time with our Veteran patients that would like a comrade to visit with. We at Grace Hospice are part of the We Honor Veterans program and want to be able to support those that have served for us in the best possible way. In doing that we want to give our Veteran patients the opportunity to share their life with other Veterans allowing them to reminisce about the experiences they had in the military with others who understand. Many of these Veterans want to have the feeling of "family" they had while they were serving our country. If you would like to help out these Veterans please contact us through this site.
We are also looking for Veterans to help with pinning ceremonies for our Veteran patients. In this you would help by coming along and pinning the Veteran after we present them with a certificate of appreciation for their service. This allows the Veteran to be able to share some stories of their time in the service with all of us and their family. Many times the family learns things that hadn't been shared before which helps them with a better understanding of their loved one. If you would like to just help with this part instead of visit please also apply.
Thank you so much for your service to our country!!

Mission Statement
For each employee to treat every patient as their own treasured loved one, providing care that affords a quality of life that outweighs quantity of day, and supports caregivers as their hearts find healing
Description
Hospice care is not just for the patient. It also provides emotional support for the entire family. Hospice is a philosophy of caring for patients whose medical conditions are not responding to treatment or for those patients who choose not to seek agressive medical care at the end stage of life. Our program is for patients who are considered terminal and are expected to live six months or less if the desease follows its natural course, although many patients outlive this time frame. Our philosophy focuses on comfort care not currative care. Our goal is for the patient to remain as comfortable and pain-free as possible in their own home or the home of a loved one through the end of life. We also serve patients who are living in long-term and assisted living facilities.
