  • 19 people are interested

Suncrest Hospice is looking for volunteers to join the Suncrest Team as we provide excellent care and support to our hospice patients and their families in their homes! We serve families in Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara Counties.

The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort and the highest quality of life that one can achieve at the end of life. Through an interdisciplinary team: nurse, nurse assistant, social worker, chaplain, and volunteers, we help the patient and family walk through their journey.

As a bereavement hospice volunteer, you can support the Bereavement Coordinator in the office with engaging conversations with families who may have recently lost their loved ones. If you enjoy having compassionate conversations, and time management, and can give four hours a week of your time, then please reach out to us!

Suncrest also is a participant in the national We Honor Veterans Program and global Dementia Friends movement.

Volunteers are trained in their role with patients, we are required to conduct background checks, drug testing, and TB testing, at no charge to all volunteers.

Please contact the office at 408-900-8838 for more information
