Choice Hospice Care works in partnership with the We Honor Veterans program to recognize the unique needs of those who served our country; to bring gratitude and closure at the end-of-life. We would like to hear from individuals who have served in the military who would like to assist us on an occasional basis to perform an honorary pinning ceremony.
In addition, some of our patients who may have served in the Vietnam, Korean and World War II find it beneficial to have a volunteer with a similar experience and level of understanding to share their life stories with. Patient services volunteers are an integral part of our team and visit a patient once a week for an hour or two.
If you are interested in either opportunity, please reach out to us and we will provide you with further information. Full training and support is…

Mission Statement
Choice Hospice Care is certificated by Medicare and accredited by The Joint Commission to provide end-of-life care to individuals with a life limiting disease who are in the last six months of their life. Comfort care and support is delivered by our compassionate and caring health care professionals and volunteers in the patient's home or care facility. Our mission is to provide the best care, tailored for the patient's and family's individual situation with dignity, compassion, and tenderness. This mission involves holistic care of needs: physical, pain management, emotional, and spiritual.
Description
Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team, filling roles that range from visiting with patients to provide compassionate care and support, to assisting with clerical work in the office. We are currently developing a range of services that compliment the hospice program such as Pet Therapy, an Essential Oils Program and the We Honor Vets Program. We are also in the process of growing our core group of patient volunteers to ensure that we can meet the needs of our patients and their families.
