Each Wednesday at 3:30pm, Lutheran Church of the Cross opens its doors and invites all who wish to join us in a spaghetti meal. It costs nothing to eat; this meal is open for anyone who wishes to partake in the feed. Our diners are overwhelmingly predominantly homeless, senior citizens or other people on limited income, and are for the most part unable to financially contribute to the meal.
Many meals ended in Berkeley due to the COVID pandemic, and LCC was one of the few that remained constant able to adapt our structure to conditions and distancing guidelines.

Mission Statement
LCC is a nurtering community that reaches into the world, valuing radical welcome by showing Jesus through service to the homeless and poor, providing space for healing and restoration.
Description
Established in 1966 as a merger of four Lutheran Churches in Berkeley, Lutheran Church of the Cross has had a relationship with our outside community for half a century, by hosting twelve step meetings, housing youth, and feeding homeless, seniors and poor on a weekly basis. Currently we house over 20 twelve-step meetings, and in addition to our Wednesday Night Spaghetti Dinner, our facility is home to the Berkeley Food and Housing Network's Quarter Meal the other four weeknights.
