In this volunteer position you will have the opportunity to serve our nation's heroes by being the warm, smiling face that greets Veterans and their family members as they arrive at the Minneapolis VA.
First Impressions Curbside Volunteers welcome all to the medical center, provide a wheelchair to individuals needing assistance as they exit their vehicle at curbside, escort individuals through the entrances with a warm hand off and collect and stock wheelchairs at entrances as needed throughout their volunteer shift.
Volunteers must have the ability to stand for their 4 hour shift, have the physical ability to push wheelchairs, be able to hear and communicate clearly and can withstand hot and cold weather as the Volunteer is stationed outside the entrances for a majority of their shift.Current openings for curbside volunteers are:
Monday through Friday mornings 7am-11am
Monday through Friday afternoons 11am-3pm
A resume is not required but can be submitted before or during the initial new volunteer appointment with CDCE.

Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, tertiary care and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics and extended care. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System provides for the health care needs of Veterans in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
