ARTBAR needs volunteer driver help to get our dogs from foster in Lenore WV over to Sheabel Vet Hospital in Lexington KY. Gas money reimbursed with receipts. Drivers use your own vehicle. We can provide loaner crates.
This is a once or twice a week opportunity. Either meet us in Lenore early in the morning on a weekday (7 am?) or after business hours. Our founder works a full time day job, so we need to work around her job's hours for meet times.
Dogs will be dropped off at the vet and left there for treatment. You do not need to stay at the vet's office with them.
Then after vetting is complete, we need assistance with getting them back to foster care in Lenore WV. This is not typically done on the same day, though. They go to the vet for a few days to up to several weeks depending on the level of care/recovery they need.
Ideally we'd love to find several people who can help since this is a long drive (almost 3 hours each way). Can be split among multiple drivers so you'd be doing one or 1-1/2 hours each.
We rescue a lot of injured and elderly dogs that require extensive veterinary care and this vet is the best we've found for extraordinary care.
Must love dogs and be comfortable handling strange dogs.
MUST Be 100% reliable and punctual. If you say you're going to be there at 5 pm to pick up, you will be there. If for some reason there's a traffic delay, you will keep us notified.
Must be comfortable using Facebook messenger.

Mission Statement
The mission of A Reason To Believe Animal Rescue is to rescue homeless or neglected animals (including but not necessarily limited to dogs and cats), provide veterinary care, and get them placed them in great adoptive homes. All are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We house these animals in foster homes, kennels, or boarding as needed. We work in collaboration with shelters, veterinarians, rescues, owners needing to rehome their pets, and the public. We work to reduce the animal overpopulation issue by spaying and neutering as part of our process. We work to ensure the safety of the public by vaccinating according to the law and as the health of the animal permits based on the recommendations of our veterinarian. We treat for parasites, injuries, dentals, skin or ear infections. etc.

ARTBAR is a foster-based pet rescue located in rural southwestern West Virginia. We mostly rescue dogs but occasionally help other domestic pets. We are located near the star in our logo.
