Tranquil Care Patient Companion volunteers give comfort and support to individuals with terminal illness in the mid-City area. Volunteers are a vital part of the hospice care team. As a Volunteer you may chat with your patient, read a book or poem, play familiar music from your mobile device, give family caregiver a break, or just hold the hand of someone's who is bed-bound. Patients receiving Hospice services reside either at home or in an assisted living or nursing home. Volunteers are trained, supported and overseen by Volunteer Manager. A 9- month commitment is requested.

At Tranquil Carre we serve by this philosophy
'You matter because you are you, and you matter to the end of your life. We will do all we can not only to help you die peacefully, but also live until you die."
Diane Saunders founder of the hospice movement
