Pet Therapy for Holistic Care
At Trinity Health At Home Hospice , we believe in holistic care, and your furry friend can play a significant role in bringing joy to our patients in hospice care. Pets can provide emotional support, reduce stress and create a sense of companionship. Our Pet Therapy program is designed to bring comfort to ourpatients throught he unconditional love and warmth that our pets bring.
HOW YOU AND YOUR DOG CAN HELP
DOG REQUIREMENTS
Dogs only , aged at least 2 years
Must be registered with a nationally recognized registry that screens and insures your dog
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations and immunizations ( with proof)
Also proof of a comprehensive examination by a vet

Must go through the protocols of becoming a hospice volunteer which includes
Background check
fingerprints
tb testing
orieantation
All at no expense to you

A patients medical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs are addressed by our hospice team of professionals and volunteers. · Hospice considers an entire family, not just the patient as the "Unit of Care." Hospice will provide care and comfort when cure is no longer an option. Through ever-advancing technology, pain and symptom control will enable patients to live as fully and comfortably as possible. · Hospice emphasizes quality of life rather than length of life. Hospice neither hastens nor postpones death.
Description
Trinity Health at Home is seeking caring and compassionate people to join our Hospice Team as Volunteers in Livingston , Washtenaw and Oakland County.
Hospice Volunteers provide support to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.
Patient and Family support may come in the form of companionship, comforting presence, caregiver relief, light household chores, or vigil volunteering.
Trinity Health at Home requires a complete background check, fingerprints , TB testing and training for each volunteer, all of which is provided and paid for by Trinity Health at Home
