About 6 Cups to College

Location:

1100 H Street, Modesto, CA 95354, US

Mission Statement

To increase the college-going rate in Stanislaus County by pairing first generation college students with college educated mentors from our community.

Description

This mentor-based program is designed to help high school students as they transition to college, and early college students as they prepare for careers. We do this by pairing community members with students who would most benefit from assistance with college and career guidance. Mentors and mentees are matched by gender, and when possible, by college major / career interest. Mentors and mentees agree to meet 6 times during the school year to address various aspects of college and career planning. This is a perfect mentoring opportunity for busy professionals as it allows them to meet with their mentees at mutually convenient times and locations.
