We are searching for compassionate volunteers to visit our Hospice patients in their homes in the Bastrop and surrounding area. Our Hospice patients suffer from life limiting illnesses and are in the last stages of their lives.
There are many things that a volunteer can do. The greatest is offer companionship. Having someone to talk to is very valuable for someone on their end of life journey.
A volunteer can read, cook, play games, do patients nails or hair, especially if they are a trained beautician. They can bring therapy dogs (must be certified), as well as watch a movie, have a meal, or go for a walk. Whatever will give the patient enjoyment and purpose.
We are looking for a small commitment of 2-3 hours per week. As a Hospice provider, we would be honored for any volunteer to join our compassionate team. We look forward to meeting you.
