At Brookdale Hospice, we understand that volunteers are an integral part of end of life care. Our volunteers help ensure that each person’s end of life journey goes as smoothly and supportively as possible.
"Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touched."-Judy Blume
Whether you want to see the impact you can make in the lives of patients directly or prefer to work behind the scenes, we invite you to become a member of a dedicated group of compassionate caregivers who serve as vital members of our hospice team. Caretenders Hospice - a proud member of the LHC Group family - has been serving Hennepin/Ramsey/Scott/Dakota counties for 14 years, and we have the honor of being a Level 3 We Honor Veterans partner.
We have volunteer positions open right in our main office in Bloomington for administrative work. Our administrative volunteer would be working alongside our wonderful office staff with different tasks in an office setting. Duties may include organizing admission paperwork, filing, sending faxes, light cleaning, assisting with mailings, answering phones, stocking supplies, and helping with special events or projects.
Our volunteers commit approximately 2+ hours of their time each week. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm and this volunteer position would need to be available during that time frame. This position is a great opportunity to get to know the inner workings of a leading hospice company in the Twin Cities.
Our Volunteer Manager, Dana, looks forward to hearing from you and to start you on your journey in the world of hospice volunteering.
"If you think you're too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito."-African Proverb
