You can make a difference! As a Gentiva Hospice Volunteer you can provide companionship to terminally ill patients and their caregivers. We are looking for individual who are caring and compassionate. Patient companions allow caregivers a much needed break from their daily routine of caring for their loved one. Whether they need to leave the house for errands or simply go into another room, your compassionate presence will be much appreciated by the patients and their caregivers. Patient companions sit with the patient and provide socialization, read, play games, watch TV or just listen. Training is required and provided. Weekends are available.
