Altus

At Altus Hospice we have a partnership with our Veterans. We need help with letters and cards for our veterans to deliver when we attend the outpatient VA center and facilities/nursing homes.

We need people who are willing to write simple (or detailed if that is your style) cards for our veterans. This is an opportunity for ALL AGES, the cards may be drawn pictures on construction or computer paper or typical thank you notes.

This is great opportunity for anyone who can spare a few minutes of time, and can be done from anywhere. We are happy to pick up the cards or have you bring them to our office in Round Rock.

If you have any interest or questions please let me know, I would love to hear from you.

About Altus Hospice of the Hills

Location:

100 N College Street, Round Rock, TX 78664, US

Mission Statement

The Mission of Altus Hospice is to provide professional care with a personal touch. We accomplish this by focusing on both the patient and their family. We will treat the disease process with medical expertise while emphasizing quality living, not only physically, but also psychosocially, emotionally and spiritually. Comfort, compassion and calming presence are the gifts we bring to this service, and we are honored to walk with the patient and loved ones through this special time.

Description

Altus has the honor and privilege to partner with patients and families as they enter into end of life care.

Hospice is a concept of caring, rather than a specific location. In hospice care, the emphasis is on palliative (comfort) care and quality of life. Every effort is made to make the patient as comfortable as possible and fulfill the distinct wishes of the patient and their family. There is practical, emotional, and spiritual support available for all involved.
