Camp Erin(r) Tampa Bay is a transformative weekend camp for kids and teens, ages 6-17, who have experienced the death of a significant person. Held March 14-16, 2025, in Hudson, FL, this free camp combines fun activities with grief education and emotional support. Led by grief professionals and trained volunteers, Camp Erin provides a unique opportunity for youth to heal, find hope, and connect with others who understand.
Join our team of dedicated volunteers! To qualify, you must be 18 or older, in good physical health, and able to pass a national background check. You will also need to attend an interview, volunteer training, and any relevant meetings.
What does volunteering look like? Volunteers make a difference in the lives of grieving children. By participating in camp activities, providing a supportive environment, and creating a positive atmosphere, you can help campers to experience and express their grief. Expect a busy weekend, as volunteers are typically on their feet from 7:30 AM to midnight.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Center is to provide support for children/teens from 3-18 years of age and their families, who have experienced the death of a significant person...as an expression of the ongoing ministry of Jesus Christ.
Description
Suncoast Kids Place is founded on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grieve in a supportive and understanding environment. However, our society fails to understand or support the needs of a child and family in grief. We offer ongoing grief support for the death of a significant person. Families are invited to join our organization at any point after the death and can stay with us as long as they desire. Our groups range in age from 3-18 years old and their caregiver. In addition to our peer support groups we also are able to offer a once a year weekend camp called Camp Erin.
