LGBTQ2+ Mentoring - for youth who identifies with the LGBTQ2+ community
As part of the broader Community-based Mentoring program, LGBTQ2+ Mentoring involves matching a young person aged 6 to 21 with a mentor, both from the LGBTQ2+ community. The goal of the program is to offer a mentor who identifies with the LGBTQ2+ community to a young person who is in questioning or identifying with the same community, in order to create a bond of friendship and support them by serving as a positive role model.
The program was created in collaboration with GRIS - Montréal, L’Asterisk, Interligne and the LGBT Family Coalition, and with the financial support of the Ministry of Justice of Quebec as part of their program Fight against Homophobia and Transphobia.
