S-O-S is the 24-hour crisis line for St. Joseph County for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking. Volunteer Advocates provide emotional support and information at local hospital emergency departments and on the phone to adults and children who unfortunately have been subjected to victimization.
Volunteer Advocates are an invaluable component to the S-O-S mission; without them we could not do the work that we do! Our Volunteer Advocates come from all walks of life, and the majority are community members living, working, and attending school in the Michiana area.
Volunteer Advocates receive 40 hours of training at no cost prior to joining the S-O-S program. Training opportunities are held throughout the year. For more information contact the Family Justice Center at 574-234-6900, or apply online today at https://bttr.im/xqhsh.
