Volunteering at Barn Sanctuary provides an opportunity to work up close and personal with farmed animal rescues while helping to provide their direct care. The bulk of volunteer responsibilities consist of physical chores. Volunteers will be responsible for mucking out stalls/pens, yards, and pastures; laying clean bedding in living areas, cleaning coops and sweeping barns. Occasionally the Animal Care team may require additional help with other tasks, including feeding and animal handling, from volunteers who are comfortable assisting. Volunteers are also welcome to brush and groom some of the larger animals once regular cleaning tasks have been completed. The animals require care every day of the year, regardless of the weather and we rely on committed volunteers to help tackle chores around the property rain or shine.

Mission Statement
Barn Sanctuary rescues abused and neglected farmed animals and inspires people to embrace a plant-based lifestyle.
Description
Barn Sanctuary has been rescuing farmed animals since 2016 and have over 120 animal residents living out their natural lives at our 70 acre sanctuary. At Barn Sanctuary, we provide our residents with the life we believe all farmed animals deserve. From top-notch medical care to plenty of pasture space, the best interests of our residents are prioritized with the highest level of individualized care and enrichment.
Our volunteers are committed to giving our rescued residents the best life imaginable through assisting our Animal Care team in daily sanctuary chores that directly involve caring for the animals at Barn Sanctuary. In addition to our volunteer program, Barn Sanctuary's tour program draws hundreds of guests to the property to meet the animals and hear their stories. Our goal is to provide people with an opportunity to see farmed animals in a new light as we educate them about human relationships with farmed animals and the negative impact these current relationships have on the animals, our health, and the health of our planet. It is our hope that, through education, we can give people the information that will empower them to make more informed decisions about their own lifestyle.
