We are looking for help within our Indianapolis office. Our administrative volunteers make everything possible and allow us to provide the best care for our patients. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone that is perhaps a bit shy about visiting with a patient directly, or perhaps you just love these tasks. We have a variety of tasks that you may choose to participate in. These include but are not limited to; making packets, answering phones, putting supplies away, making calls on Thursday mornings to check on medications, helping the volunteer coordinator, or helping with bereavement. You are more than welcome to volunteer in the office and out in the field with a patient.
We are very flexible with your schedule as long as you’re able to come during our normal business hours, Monday-Friday 9-5.
In order to become a volunteer of Heart to Heart Hospice, the following steps are required:
- Application- Emailed or mailed to you!
- Interview- a short interview must be completed to discuss your interest and availability. This can be completed in person or via telephone.
- Background check
- TB Screening- A TB screening is required upon "hire" along with one TB test annually.
- Orientation Training- required training must be completed prior to beginning this volunteer opportunity.
