Kindness, compassion, service. We are in need of volunteers to help with giving cregiver a short break of one hour per week. No special skills are needed (other than a nice smile and a happy disposition!), but if you have areas of special skills or interests we welcome the opportunity to talk about how we can best utilize your time and service. Our volunteers play a valuable "behind the scenes" role in support of our nurses, aides, chaplains and social workers who care for our hospice patients and families.
We are looking for a Volunteer's to help support our Families, by sitting with thier loved one. One hour per week to give them a break, such going to the store.
Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. You choose the time and amount of hours that works best for you! We will work around your schedule. We provide training, ongoing support and lots of nice compliments and gestures of appreciation!
Submit a volunteer application on our website www.goodshepherdhospice.com and we'll get right back to you. Or call or email Alicial Piland at 918-786-6182 for more information.

Description
COMPASSIONATE ABOUT CARE. passionate about life.
At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It's a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually...and for whatever that means individually.
We believe that in the passing of a person’s life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal.
Our Volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease loneliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.
