ORGANIZATION: Pet Assistance Foundation

  • 26 people are interested

Pet Assistance Foundation's Long Beach branch does adoption and rescue of unwanted cats, kittens, dogs and puppies. We are looking for a reliable person to transport our animals to local vets once or twice a week.

This is to give them needed medical treatment and also spay and neuter surgeries prior to adoption to their forever home. Most visits would require you to drop them off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. We need a person who truly is an animal lover to work with our team!

WE WILL PAY FOR MILEAGE! If you are interested, please call our office during the afternoon on week days at 310-732-1230 OR 562-336-1275. You can also email us at petassistance@gmail.com. We look forward to speaking with you!

About Pet Assistance Foundation

Location:

555-B Artesia Blvd., LONG BEACH, CA 90805, US

Mission Statement

Pet Assistance Foundation was founded in 1955 with the sole purpose of helping stop pet overpopulation and abuse through spay and neuter. We refer pet owners to quality low cost s/n vets through our thirteen branches throughout So. California. We also assist low income pet owners by providing a donation towards the cost of the surgery. We also do adoption/rescue with weekend adoption events in PETCO stores in Rolling Hills, Lakewood, and Downey.

Description

We have an immediate need for cat caretakers! This volunteer activity will involve feeding, cleaning cages and socializing with the cats during playtime. Cat care taking requires about an hour and a half to two hours at one of the above locations.

This is our 64TH year of humane work in Southern California. Come join a group of dedicated, caring people who know that every moment they volunteer results in a positive outcome for an unwanted pet. We take in owner relinquished, homeless and unwanted given up pets-get them any and all medical care they need, get them healthy, happy and friendly. Then, there is the huge moment when we find them a pet parent who will care for them for their lifetime. That's huge! In just a few hours a week, that is what you will be part of. Please reply to petassistancefoundation@gmail.com, or you can call our office at 310-732-1230. Please answer - the volunteers and especially the pets, NEED YOU!
