Looking for a fun way to give back to your community and the planet during this holiday season? Join us at our Wild Lights Nights here at Elmwood Park Zoo and help out raising funds for the zoo to make it through the cold winter months! Our animals live here at the zoo every day of the year, and the zoo is open 360 days a year, so come out and help our animals beat the cold with holiday spirit!
Assistants for Wild Nights will help with all sorts of fun holiday themed activities including holiday craft making, writing holiday cards to the animals, manning bonfires to assist with s'mores making, assisting at the Wild Light Shadow Wall making amazing photo opportunities and much, much more!
You can apply as an individual or with a group to spread the holiday spirit of giving!
Be aware that most of the posts for volunteering at wild lights take place at least partially outside in the evenings, and you must dress for the weather with warm hats and gloves! We do our best to rotate volunteers into the warmer areas indoors at nights in the zoo, but it can be cold out there!
Wild Lights Nights takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights in late November and December from 5 PM to 9 PM. Wild Lights is then open every night December 16th through December 23rd, and Dec 26th through December 30th.
