Thank you for your interest in joining, Saving Animals & Healing Hearts! We are looking for reliable, compassionate, and friendly individuals that respect and enjoy working around animals. Must be 18 years of age or older for this particular need, and able to commit to a minimum of: One - 2.5 hr shift per week. We care for over 80 rescue animals including: horses & mini horse, donkey & mini donkeys, goats, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, turkeys, tortoise, and roosters. We rely on our volunteers and need dedicated people that want to be apart of a team. Experience is a plus but definitely not necessary! We are growing and have opened several shifts to expand both of our animal care teams!
Feeding Team has morning and evening shifts available. What to expect: You will be trained on how to prep different types of hay, supplements and bagged feed. Meal prep for piggy residents includes chopping vegetable, preparing pig pellets and dispersing to residents. Cleaning and refilling waters, and the best part is getting to work hands-on with the residents!
Care Team: Making sure all of our animals stay healthy includes clean stalls and pens, grooming, turn out horses, hand walk animals, special attention, time and care to all. *If you have experience with specific animals, please let us know!
Grant Writers: Experienced grant writers needed asap!
Handyman/women services are always needed and greatly appreciated! Including repairs around the ranch such as fencing, stalls, pens and gates as needed. Building new pens and housing, securing current ones and welding repairs.
All volunteers must wear closed toe shoes (boots are recommended especially with rainy weather season) to enter the sanctuary! Please bring your own drinking water, and dress appropriately for weather rain or shine... you will get dirty (that’s just how we roll!)! Shift availability 7 days per week am & pm. If this all sounds good to you we would love to hear from you!
We take pride in providing a safe and compassionate environment for all of our rescued animals. Our residents have survived different types of abuse, abandonment and neglect. This is THEIR home... their SAFE place, and they come FIRST here. Joining our animal care team, you’re also becoming apart of our rescue family!
