Does your organization have a passion for a particular topic or life skill? Do you want to create a fun event that shares your enthusiasm with girls? Your team could design an event that helps girls earn a Girl Scout badge related to your specialty or help teach girls a skill they need to grow into the leaders of tomorrow!
If your group has a love for STEM, outdoors, or the arts - there are ways you can use your skills and resources to provide an experience that helps girls explore something new. There are dozens of new badges that will inspire you to think of creative ways to bring the projects to life for a group of girls, including things like "Inside Government", "Cybersecurity Investigator" or "Philanthropist" badges! You can decide how many girls you'd like to participate, select what age girls you'd like to involve, and pick a date and location that is convenient for your group. Universities, associations, and corporate headquarters are all exciting venues for girls to participate in events!
Our Council serves around 60,000 girls in Washington, DC as well as parts of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Through the Girl Scout program, girls discover their special skills and talents, connect with others, and take action to make the world a better place.

Mission Statement
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. We seek to accomplish this by providing girls opportunities to develop their potential and have fun with their peers in a supportive, all-girl setting.
Description
Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
