Help our patients get the best care possible!
Our patients are the most important thing to us and we want to set them (and ourselves) up for success! So much goes in to running a hospice and ensuring that everything goes as smoothly as possible for patients at the end of life. Part of our commitment to care is assuring that our field staff are supported by the hospice office and we need your help! Hospice administrative volunteers assist us with so many aspects of hospice care including patient information packets, marketing materials, hospice office telephone reception, tuck in calls to our patients, human resources and bereavement!
Our office, located in North Dallas (off Belt Line road) always has more projects than we have hands to tackle them and we could really use your help! If you're interested in assisting us in the office, please contact Rebecca Sanchez, Volunteer Coordinator at 972-870-9991 or by email rebecca.sanchez@goodshepherdhospice.com today to get started!
Available to people 18 years or older.

Description
COMPASSIONATE ABOUT CARE. passionate about life.
At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It is a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually... and for whatever that means individually.
We believe that in the passing of a person's life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal.
Our volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease loneliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.
Our History - 23 Years of Comforting and Serving
Good Shepherd Hospice opened its first office in Oklahoma City in 1995. We now have a regional presence serving Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. Along the way, we've touched the lives of more than 20,000 patients and shepherded 50,000 + family members through their time of need. Every member of our team receives comprehensive, ongoing training. We are a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Association, Medicare Certified and State Licensed.
