I'm pretty much a one man show when it comes to running the Sanctuary.
We are not open to the public, nor are we a zoo to expoilt the animals. There are plenty of other places for that. The volunteers we have appreciate this. maybe that's one of the reason that I can't find volunteers? maybe it's due to the "fairweather" volunteers - No one wants to work in the elements. maybe it's the structires routine that our animals flourish on?
Whatever the reason is, I stil ask for help. Hoping that sooner or later we'll reach those people that love what we do, adore animals, and want to be surrounded by like minded people.
Are you one of those people?
Then by all means, reach out.
We are activley seeking volunteers to help with our animals every week. We ask that our volunteer members commit to a regular shift every week, regardless of weather. If you are within an hour's drive of Franklin NC (28734) and have a passion for animal care, please fill out our application on our website. We're excited to welcome you to our team.
