Do you believe trash belongs in a trash can and not in our natural areas? Rally your friends and family members and come out to the Busse Boating Center for 2nd annual targeted shoreline cleanup on Saturday, October 6th from 9am to noon.
Volunteer as an individual or form a team and tackle the trash that accumulates along the shoreline, posing a hazard to birds and aquatic animals including frogs and fish.
Litter is a serious problem, but the cleanup will be fun. Forest Preserve Staff will work to deploy groups to different sections of the Busse Reservoir shoreline. Compete with fellow volunteers to see who can collect the most trash. All participants earn serious bragging rights.
Trash grabbers, gloves and bags and refreshments will be provided. Wearing rubber boots is highly encouraged. Please register in advance.
