BECOME A MENTOR

If you like working with children then this is the volunteer position for you. For this position, we want someone who loves helping children complete their homework and is willing to work along with the teacher to make the learning environment welcoming for the students. The volunteer will also be actively involved with the students, focusing on improving their academic records as well as strengthening areas of weakness such as math, reading or writing.

Other assistance includes: reviewing class material, discussing text, formulating ideas for papers, or working on solutions to solve problems. The instructor will meet with them on a regular basis to work on these skills.
