ORGANIZATION: Help At Your Door

Assist seniors and individuals with disabilities unable to leave home by helping as a volunteer shopper with Help At Your Door!

In this role you will work to fill grocery orders for Help At Your Door clients. Orders are printed and ready for our shoppers on weekday mornings starting at about 6:00 a.m. Volunteer shoppers take the lists and walk through the stores, finding the items and filling the grocery carts. Volunteers help double-check each cart, assist with the check-out process, and help pack the groceries into totes to be ready for delivery. Shoppers do not pay for or deliver the groceries themselves.

Shopping shifts typically last 3 hours; and shoppers commit to help on a specific day (Mondays, Thursdays, or Fridays) for a minimum of 2 months. Volunteers can work with a family member or friend. Volunteers must have weekday early morning availability to assist with this role.

Help At Your Door has been serving seniors in the Twin Cities for more than 35 years.
