Make a difference in a student’s life! Volunteer as a Homework Coach or Reading Coach for 2 to 3 hours per week at the Rincon Branch of the Livermore Public Library.
Homework and Reading Coaches work one-on-one with students to promote learning, offer encouragement, and build beneficial habits for success in school.
Volunteer Homework Coaches assist students with homework in the Homework Help Center during the school year. The Homework Help Center is open during these times:
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 2:00 - 4:00 p.m
Volunteer Reading Coaches support reading practice and building reading skills when the Summer Reading Bridge replaces the Homework Help Center for the summer.
All Volunteer Coaches must be 18 years of age or older.
Applicants must pass a City of Livermore DOJ background check and undergo Live Scan fingerprinting.

Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
