We are looking for an artworker: someone with strong creative skills and attention to detail. The main focus of the role would be the creation of banners and graphics for the weekly newsletter and social channels.

You either have a few years of experience or you might still be studying, but you’ve got the basics of designing under control. Ideally, you are based in the London area. Briefs will usually be sent via email or discussed on calls, but it would be good to catch up in London every few weeks.

When, how often & what

  • We are flexible and we can work around your schedule
  • Ideally you are available for a minimum of 1/2 hours a week
  • Available for a minimum of 2 months
  • Graphics for social media and newsletter

Skills

  • Broad Adobe Creative Suite knowledge (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • You are able to work independently and have the required tools as you will be working remotely.

Benefits

  • The chance to work for a small but growing non-profit organisation
  • Learn about Vietnam and human rights
  • Opportunity to gain more design experience and to expand network

How to apply

Please send us your C.V. and cover letter, including some examples of your work.

About The 88 Project

Location:

922 Judson Ave, Unit 1, Evanston, IL 60202, US

Mission Statement

The 88 Project supports and encourages freedom of expression in Vietnam by sharing the stories of and advocating for Vietnamese activists who are persecuted because of their peaceful dissent.

Description

We maintain several types of tools that international governments and advocates use to press for reform in Vietnam and the release of political prisoners, including our searchable Vietnamese Political Prisoner and Activist Database and Interactive Map. We have other tools to provide information on the human rights situation in Vietnam and to raise awareness about the subject, like our weekly newsletter, interviews with activists, and our social media platforms.
