SAFS provides a safe, 24/7 shelter and supportive services for homeless families with a goal of stabilizing housing and employment.
Meal assistants work with shelter staff to prepare and serve meals to families in shelter. Volunteers are needed during the week (M-F) for dinner (5:15p-6:00p).
Volunteers in this position are required to pass a background check and take a 3 hour class called VIRTUS. VIRTUS teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect as well as the best practices Catholic Charities follows to protect youth and vulnerable adults in our ministries.
