Our Young Professionals Board is a group of young professionals who are passionate about providing children in-need with an excellent education and helping them achieve their dreams. The Young Professionals Board assists in all planning aspects of the annual Shaken, Not Stirred Martini Party held in February each year. In addition to the Shaken, Not Stirred Martini Party, the Young Professionals Board will take part in career panels, service days with our scholars, assist with the Graduation Celebration held each May, and has the opportunity to work with the scholars by being mentors and/or tutors.

Location:

Mission Statement

Our mission is to nurture and guide motivated young people in need to become well-educated, career-ready men and women for others.

Description

At BHGHCO, education is seen as the key to self-sufficiency and college is the avenue towards a career for a stable future. For over 25 years, BHGHCO has been providing a pathway to a successful future for young people who have the ambition and determination to achieve a college education and a life of service but do not have the supports to reach this goal. We believe that motivated children can overcome significant barriers and develop their inherent talents when engaged in strong relationships and opportunities for academic and character development. By opening a doorway of opportunity for these young scholars through year-round college-preparatory supports, they are able to thrive in an environment that empowers them and allows them to develop their life skills and strengths.
