The Total Wellness Program is a FREE 8-week weight loss and chronic disease prevention program that exists to help adults lose weight and live better. We are looking for volunteers to help with our upcoming class session beginning in January 2025. There are multiple ways to get involved. We need the most help with our in-person classes for this session. For in-person classes, volunteers will meet at a class of their choice for about 2 hours per week. All class sites are located around the Oklahoma City area. In-person volunteers will help to weigh participants, track progress, provide feedback on food journals, and support the participants with encouragement. There are also opportunities to help with virtual food diary feedback and finger-stick health screenings (medical professionals only for health screenings, additional training required). If you also speak Spanish, we have volunteer opportunities available for our program in Spanish (Salud Total). This is an excellent opportunity to impact the lives of others and engage in a program led by healthcare professionals such as Registered Dietitians. It is also a great resume builder. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Sydney Newlin at sydney_newlin@occhd.org, office: 405-419-4037.
