Volunteer with Dinosaur Ridge!
Dinosaur Ridge, a National Natural Landmark and #1 fossil track site as ranked by paleontologists, is seeking volunteer interpretive guides, exhibit hall docents, as well as helpers for outreach & special events, landscape maintenance and other roles.
Come learn about the volunteer opportunities on Saturday, January 11th from 9-11am. This overview will introduce you to the history and current activities planned at Dinosaur Ridge and how you can contribute your time and efforts to the organization. The first hour of this orientation will be a bus tour and getting outdoors at our fossil sites on Dinosaur Ridge.

The mission of Dinosaur Ridge is to preserve the paleontologic, geologic, and historic resources on Dinosaur Ridge, Triceratops Trail, and outlier sites in the Golden-Morrison Fossil Area National Natural Landmark and to educate the public about these resources.
Description
Dinosaur Ridge is a non-profit outdoor museum with over 300 dinosaur footprints and dozens of dinosaur bones still in place from the Mesozoic, the Age of the Dinosaurs. Dinosaur Ridge programs are run by volunteers like you! Whether you are looking for a long term opportunity or short term, Dinosaur Ridge has volunteer opportunities for everyone!

REQUIREMENTS
- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 16
- 8 hrs per month to be an active volunteer. Most roles have very flexible schedules.
- After the orientation, to become an active volunteer, all applicants must complete required paperwork and training including shadowing other volunteers, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion training and other orientations depending on the volunteer role.
