What's We Are Looking For Starting this Spring the Chrysalis Program is connecting our students to mentors.
Virtual mentoring is a strategy that helps The Chrysalis Program foster meaningful relationships and maintain personal connections, even while students are learning virtually. In recognition of the basic need for human connection, a virtual mentorship program establishes deeper communication between mentors and mentees.
Mentors provide guidance, advice, feedback, and support to the mentee, serving variously as role model, teacher, counselor, advisor, sponsor, advocate, and ally, depending on the specific goals and objectives negotiated with the mentee.
What's Required All volunteers, mentors and interns are required to:
- Complete a background check $25/person
- Complete an online orientation.
- Biweekly 45 min- 1 hour check in via Zoom
