Grief facilitators
These volunteers meet with family members on program nights. The responsibilities include completion of a training session, and attendance at all program night meetings. You will be assigned to a particular age group, the caregiver group, or the quiet room. PNVs (Program Night Volunteers) will need to spend some time in between meetings preparing for program nights, and will be expected to adhere to the mission statement and goals of Kathy’s Place as explained at training and as reviewed during briefings.

Kathy's Place exists to facilitate the process whereby grieving children experience the transforming power of moving through the pain of profound loss to an enhanced sense of self and appreciation for life.

Description

We are a community of trained volunteers who provide a safe and compassionate place for children to grow through grief and bereavement. Participation in our program activities helps children transform themselves and build the means of remembering loved ones.
